Examples of employer branding social media accounts
1. Salesforce Jobs: Content variety
We love the jobs social media accounts of software company Salesforce because they know how to add variety to their employer branding content. And with over 200,000 combined followers across their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts, it seems we’re not the only ones who think they are a great example!
From posting team photos and behind-the-scenes videos, to highlighting company achievements and driving engagement with quizzes, Salesforce uses its content to shine a spotlight on different parts of employee life. There’s never a dull moment on their careers social media pages.
This means that current employees can go to social media to get informed about everything that is happening at the company. While potential new joiners can learn more from the company and its culture.

2. Marriott Careers: Storytelling
Storytelling is the backbone of the content that Marriott posts on their careers social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube). They often use video content and employee interviews to showcase life at Marriott.
Examples of their employer branding social media content includes a series of “Five Question Friday” employee interviews, short quotes alongside employee photos, videos that showcase both the jobs and hobbies of employees, and #WomensHistoryMonth videos in which female employees describe their working experiences.
Letting your employees tell their own story is a great idea to add credibility to your employer branding message on social media.
3. ICI PARIS XL Careers: Strong brand identity
ICI PARIS XL’s LinkedIn careers page is another great example of employer branding social media accounts because of their clear brand identity.
Using a cohesive color palette, and a consistent tone of voice and story, ICI PARIS XL has developed a strong brand identity with every post they upload. This ensures that their audience can easily recognize the brand’s content when scrolling through their feeds.

4. Work at Eneco: Employee social media takeovers
Work at Eneco builds trust for their employer brand through Instagram takeovers. They give employees access to their account for a day to share their personal experiences of working for the company.
For example, office staff share their day at their (home) office, and on-the-road employees film their workday activities. This fun and relatable content idea not only gives potential future hires an honest perspective, but it also makes employees feel more involved and included.
5. We Are Intel: Life outside of work
On their employer branding Twitter and Instagram channels, Intel spots a light on the people behind their company.
Their account features posts about their employees’ personal lives, for example, employees’ pets, family and baby photos. This strategy helps make their audience members feel important and valued as if they were part of the Intel family. In addition, it enables Intel to create a space with open dialogue and meet the expectations of a life-work balance.

6. NASA Internships: Targeting a specific audience
NASA chooses to target a specific pool of new recruits with their careers Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts dedicated to hiring interns.
This is a great employer branding social media strategy if your company needs to hire multiple people for the same role. You can then tailor your content to speak specifically to this group, for example, sharing application deadlines, stories from employees in these roles, and more relevant job information. Such tailored messages should also help increase engagement and follower numbers from your target audience.
To infinity… and beyond! 🚀

Employer branding content examples and ideas
Social recruitment isn’t just about posting job vacancies. Our employer branding statistics show that employer branding specialists also create social media content about celebrations, new starters, company events, employees at work, and more.
To give you ideas for your employer branding social media strategy, we rounded up different examples of employer branding content and topics below.
1. Vacancy or ‘We’re hiring’ post ideas
One of the most common content topics for employer branding social media accounts are vacancy posts. These posts keep job seekers informed about the job openings at your company.
Vacancy posts and graphics usually include the job title and location, alongside a short description of the role and requirements. You can also include a photo of the team to add more personality and catch your audience’s attention.
See some content examples below, plus see our article on “we are hiring” and vacancy posts for many more creative examples.
2. Employee quotes and stories examples
An excellent way to build (employer) brand trust is with direct testimonials and interviews from your current employees. This can also give a new insight into your brand’s story.
As mentioned in our March 2021 social media tips roundup, stories about others are more engaging on social media. So employee stories are also a great way to boost interactions on your employer branding posts.
For example, you can ask new starters to describe why they joined your company, get quotes from long-serving employees on what they love most about their jobs, or interview colleagues on specific topics.
3. Interactive posts
Encourage audience participation and drive engagement on your social media careers channels with questions, polls and quizzes.
Try keeping your polls and quizzes aligned to your employer’s brand and industry. And ensure they are relevant to your target audience. You can also use the poll features on LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram Stories to make participation even easier.

4. Employee takeovers
Get your employees to do the work for you with an employee takeover social media strategy.
Takeovers usually last a day. During this time, employees are given access to the company’s social media account to create content and/or interact with your audience. They can share videos of their workday, fun photos with their colleagues, and record themselves talking about what it’s like working at your company.
Featuring employees in your brand’s accounts in such an authentic way encourages community-building.
5. Company news and statistics
Other examples of employer branding social media content include company news, reports, and statistics. These types of posts not only build brand trust, but also position your brand as an expert in your industry.
Add some fun by featuring your employees in this content, just like in the below video examples.

6. #FunFact content ideas
#FunFact or “Did you know?” are popular post types on social media. Use them to draw attention to a specific topic and to increase engagement on your employer branding page.
For example, you can use fun fact posts to highlight key company news, to give quick tips about your open positions or application process, or to share interesting facts about your industry that can kick-start a conversation.
Franklin D. Roosevelt raised the top tax rate of tax to 79% for those making over $5 million in 1935.

7. New employee content
“Welcome to the team” posts help make new starters feel welcome and foster the feeling of family in a company, while also showing potential employees that you are actively hiring.
You’ll want to add a photo of the new starter with a quick job description. For extra fun, you can include a quote from them or a fun fact. Check out these 26 welcome new employee social media post examples for more ideas.
8. Tours of the workplace examples
Another employer branding content idea is to give your followers a taste of what it’s like to work for your company with a tour of the office post. This will make your workplace feel more accessible and welcoming to new applicants.
